SDG 8
WE BELIEVE THAT ALL PEOPLE
HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK
In both Sweden and Denmark, Frode Laursen
has created special positions for vulnerable
citizens who, for one reason or another, cannot
manage a regular full-time job.
In Sweden, the cooperation between
companies and the public sector is managed by
‘Samhall,’ a public limited company owned by
the Swedish state.
Special areas have been set up at all of Frode
Laursen’s logistics centres in Sweden, where
citizens sent by Samhall work.
“They pack specific display structures and
get paid per display. There is no pressure on
86
them. They can spend as much time on the job
as they need. Samhall allows everyone to enter
the labour market, and we want to support
this,” says Country Manager Pontus Lindgren.
FIREBRAND OF THE YEAR
In total, Frode Laursen employs around 150
citizens in Sweden who are associated with
Samhall. 100 of them work at the logistics centre in Åstorp.
The head of the initiative in Åstorp is Jane
Malmberg. In 2019, she was honoured with the
