FRODE LAURSEN HAS ALWAYS
HAD A SUSTAINABLE AGENDA
We take responsibility and use resources
sensibly. These are two of Frode Laursen’s core
values. That’s why the company always worked
with what we now call sustainability, in terms of
both people and resources as well as business.
As Thorkil says:
“We want to do things right.”
Although the company has been working
with their responsibility towards both employees
and the environment for many years, the structured work with sustainability first started in
2019. This was followed in 2020 by the publication of Frode Laursen’s first sustainability report.
“When we started collecting information,
we were actually prey surprised by how many
sustainable initiatives we had already put into
place across the entire organisation; but they
were there because they were a logical progres-

sion of our values,” says Thomas Corneliussen,
who as CEO has given the sustainable agenda at
Frode Laursen serious priority in recent years.
“We want to progress further in this area to
offer our customers solutions to help them in
their sustainability work. Customers are facing
major challenges in reducing their carbon footprint in ‘Scope 3’. Here, Frode Laursen can and
must make a difference for its customers in the
coming years.”
For Frode Laursen, it’s important to bring in
initiatives where it makes the most sense. The
company has therefore pinpointed two areas in
which, based on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, it can make the most significant
difference:
• SDG 8 ‘Decent work and economic growth’
• SDG 13 ‘Climate action.’
