the Swedish branch is the logistics centre in
Eskilstuna, 100 km west of Stockholm, which
opened in 2022. The warehouses in Sweden
distribute both to Sweden and Norway and to a
certain extent also to Denmark.
THE JOURNEY CONTINUED EASTWARDS
In 2007, the journey eastwards continued. One
of the customers Frode Laursen worked with in
Denmark and Sweden wanted Frode Laursen to
take over logistics in Finland as well. An exist-
ing property in Kerava, north of Helsinki, was
bought and converted into a warehouse.
As had previously been the case in Sweden,
a group of employees at the time put in a lot
of effort to get the new logistics centre up and
running, recalls Anders Balle.
“Each time, we sent a task force out to get
things started. They took care of everything,
from lines on the floor to IT. We had a team of
warehouse workers who took over and ran the
warehouse until we managed to recruit local
people. It creates a great team spirit.”
