FLEMMING
FULL SUPPORT FROM FRODE
As an export driver, Flemming covered
many miles. In the ice-cold northern part of
Norway, he would drive around in vast quantities of snow. Then, a few days later, he would be
siing outside eating his lunch in Sicily with a
gardener where he would load plants.
Today, Flemming mostly drives in Denmark
and generally with building materials. He is
frequently in Hammel loading pipes at Wavin,
where he oen drives a tractor fied with a
crane. He delivers the materials to DIY stores or
construction sites, for example.
SUPPORT FROM FRODE LAURSEN
Flemming Pedersen
It was an experience at the cinema that inspired
Flemming Pedersen when choosing a career.
“I watched the film Convoy and thought, ‘I’d
like to do that.’ I had also always gone camping
with my parents and thought it was great to go
out and see a bit of the world.”
Flemming trained as an export driver and got
a trainee position with Frode Laursen in 1985.

FRoDe LAURsen’s BIGGest DePARtMent
Frode Laursen offers support to its employees in
the event of a crisis. Flemming has experienced
this himself a couple of times. Once he fell off
his load, crushed his ankle, cracked his shinbone and suffered a spinal fracture.
“Frode Laursen offered their full support.
They said that if I couldn’t walk when I came
back, they would plane off the steps to the office so I could get around in a wheelchair. They
would find a job that suited me. I shouldn’t be
worried about that.”
Fortunately, the prognosis was not quite so
serious. Flemming got back on his feet and was
able to continue as a driver.
