ABOUT
FRAMEWORKS
The FrameWorks Institute is dedicated to building a world where public
discourse drives systems and structural changes that make the world
more equitable, sustainable, and just.
For 25 years, FrameWorks has conducted rigorous social science
research to understand deeply rooted patterns in thinking about a
range of issues, including racial and economic justice, child and
adolescent development, health equity, climate change, criminal legal
reform, and more. Building on the knowledge of these broadly shared
mindsets, we test and identify the most effective framing strategies for
shifting narratives, building understanding, and mobilizing change.
Our work is only as effective as our collaboration with partners who are
driving change. Together, we’re working to move public thinking and
discourse away from individualistic explanations of problems toward
systemic explanations; from othering and excluding marginalized
groups toward solidarity; and from a fatalistic resignation about the
future to a pragmatic sense of collective efficacy and hope that a better
world is possible.
