Anne: Which government department has responsibility for Trading Standards?
Philip: Trading Standards is a local government function, not a national regulator like
the Food Standards Agency. The Office for Product Safety and Standards runs the
Primary Authority Scheme.
Anne: How should FPA members go about contacting the
FPA Primary Authority Partnership?
Philip: Your members must always deal directly with the co-ordinator
for the partnership, which happens to be you Anne!
Anne Sutton can be reached via compliance@foodservicepackaging.org.uk
FPA members wishing to raise a challenge against a fellow FPA member or a

your websites and marketing materials – including
