Cromwell leads the way in rubbish clearing collaboration
Recently, the team at Cromwell, invited other local businesses on their
industrial estate to a community-wide litter pick. In a bid to enhance the
environment, they also invited pupils from a nearby school to take part. The
event was organised with the aim of cleaning up the shared spaces around
the estate and promoting community spirit.
Participants gathered at 10am on the 17th October for the clean-up, armed
with gloves, bin bags, and litter pickers. The group combed through the
estate’s roads, verges, and car parks, clearing away rubbish and discarded
litter. After one hour of litter picking, they had successfully collected 42 filled
bin bags of waste. Among the more unusual finds was an old, broken bicycle,
which added a bit of fun to the day's discoveries.
This initiative not only made a visible difference to the area but also fostered
a sense of camaraderie between local companies, schoolchildren, and the
wider community. Cromwell’s team hopes that this collaborative effort will
inspire future environmental projects in the area.
