HEALTH AND
COMPLIANCE UPDATE
RAY MARSH
Sorell Men’s Shed
A CHEERY hello to all: it’s not
much, but our gardens are getting some rain at last, our wildlife, trees and feathered friends
are loving it too. Lovely and
positive happenings.
On that positive train of
thought and as our winter
draws closer, have you thought
about the possibility of being
involved in our community?
All of our community groups
are active across winter, and
they provide an avenue for us
to venture beyond our warm
homes.
There are arts groups, theatre
groups, Lions clubs, community houses and so many more
for us to play an active role in
and get to make new friends.
And, of course, there is our
men’s shed.
After many years of seeking
funding for a new shed, our
State Government is providing
the Sorell Council with funding that will be used for relocating our shed and the Sorell
Lions Club to Pembroke Park.
This funding will allow
Council to work on the community precinct where the
shed and Lions currently sit,
a win for us all.
We thank our MPs Jane
Howlett and Rebecca White
for their bipartisan support
for our community and its
aspirations.
The president of the men’s
shed, Barry Webb, congratulated members old and new for
their tireless efforts to pursue
our dream of a new shed.
We look forward to the
future with great enthusiasm
and the furtherance of our
community’s growth.
