“This FUNdraiser was a perfect combination of
passions: helping animals and getting crafty! From
a young age I always had a crayon or marker in my
hand, evolving into a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
from UW-Stout in 2011. Since then I’ve spent my
career in design and adopting two dogs into my family
along the way. Dusty (Husky-Staffordshire Terrier, 6)
and Otto (Shepherd Mix, 2) have been such important
figures in my life - all the joy, frustration, and cuddles.
Using acrylic paint on canvas board, I wanted to
show this puppy in a minimalistic style to focus on all
those adorable rolly-polly nose wrinkles and tall alert
ears. The minimal background has touches of orange
popping through to contrast the blue-black outline.”
