Artist Kristi Darner
“I grew up in Centreville, Michigan. After graduation I went on to study Illustration at
Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated in 2003. I
then moved to Thornton, Colorado where I worked mostly in restaurants until I decided
to return to school to study Criminal Justice. During COVID, the dual diagnosis facility
I worked at was shut down and I was laid off, which gave me an opportunity to do what
I truly love, art. I specialize in pet portraits and custom wood plaques and I also tend to
dabble in many different mediums. My husband is my best friend and biggest supporter
and has helped make doing what I love my full time career.
