There are many Governor-appointed boards across the state. From the examples provided above, you
have options which are disability specific as well as other options where the board is broader in nature
than just disability alone. Keep in mind, the listing of non-disability specific Governor-appointed boards
are just a small sampling of all the possible opportunities available. It is also important to remember that
regardless of the board chosen, bringing a disability perspective, is important in any area of community
involvement related to leadership and advocacy.
