What do LEGO® bricks have to do with
INNOVATONS@FATH?
It may well be that my enthusiasm for modular
systems is based on this playful experience
from childhood. Even today, I think it’s great if
you can put together individual components in
such a way that they give us a real advantage
as a whole. If a wow effect is added, I can get
excited about it like a child (mischievous smile,
editor's note).
When was the last time that kind of delight
occurred?
It happens quite often. For example, when
the “LED lights and F Line power strips”
project reached market maturity. The idea
for this development came directly from the
production hall. Light and power at the work
station. I thought to myself: There has to be a
way that that works better. It must be possible
to precisely set up and align lighting and power
supply in such a way that every employee
can work productively and without fatigue.
Conceived, achieved. The result is a modular
system with practical remote dimming and
remote switching that complies with the FATH
guiding principle: ENRICH YOUR WORKING
LIFE.

What other product innovations are there?
Many! Components for profile systems
continue to be a primary focus. There are
a few things to discover in this area on the
following pages. Proven components in new
useful variants for even greater flexibility –
from corner connectors to angle and direct
connectors and friction joints. And new rollers
for easier mobility.
LEAN 4.0 was a topic at Motek 2021. What’s
happening here at FATH?
We are continually working on solutions for
leaner processes and for more structure
and better organization. Floor markings in a
new format and clever guiding rails for FIFO
stations are now part of the FATH product
range. And even with the UTENSILO, our
customers will definitely achieve an “aha”
effect in the meeting room. The smart solution
for right-handed and left-handed users is
inconspicuous at first glance, but the benefits
become apparent during use. You’ll never
have to search for a whiteboard marker again
or throw it away because it’s dried out, as the
caps are tightly stored on the marker. And this
modular part is really fun, almost like LEGO
bricks (laughs, editor's note).
