Restoration and Development
of Taylor’s Bell Foundry nears
Completion
Messenger are proud to say that the restoration and
development of Taylor’s Bell Foundry in Loughborough
is nearing completion. Our site team have largely cleared
the site, leaving only minor snagging and finishing
touches. The landscape gardeners have now begun work
on the new entrance area.
With the office relocation to the restored building
complete, the museum space has been vacated and is
ready for its new fit-out by others, set to start soon and
aimed for completion in early September.
The restoration project included significant conservation
work on the historic buildings, modernising the facilities
while preserving the Foundry’s heritage. This included
structural repairs, roofing, brickwork restoration, as well
as updates to the interior spaces to enhance functionality
and visitor experience.
We have very much enjoyed playing our part in helping
to ensure that Taylor’s Bell Foundry continues to be a beacon of craftsmanship and history for future generations.
