Ripples
at Camp
Last summer, 1,080 grieving kids attended
our camp programs, our biggest number
of campers yet. Many of them danced
under the stars wearing glittery makeup
at “Campchella,” told goofy jokes while
juggling at the talent show, or quietly
gazed at the shimmering lake while
chatting with a new friend. All of them
learned how to better process and
share their grief. They became more
resilient and hopeful and brought back
new ways of expressing their feelings
to their families and communities.
