The EVC Magazine Summer 2024 - Magazine - Page 3
Thank you to our supporters
who have made this edition of
The EVC Magazine possible.
First word...
S
haring good practice and learning
how other schools approach their
educational visits programmes is a great
way to develop your own visits. This was
one of the many benefits for EVCs and
school leaders attending the National
Educational Visits Conference this
June. For those who weren't able to attend, we've put
together some of the highlights - see pages 22 to 28.
We'll be running a series of webinars on topics covered
on the day from September 2024. See page 42 for more
details.
Read on for school stories from Tetherdown Primary
School and Alderman Richard Hallam School, Leicester
– thank you to Rachel Gillingham and Wayne Holder
for sharing their experiences and advice for other EVCs.
We also learn about the amazing work being done by
the University of Northampton's schools engagement
team - a visit to their STEAM Northants events is
definitely an experience to remember!
We hear from Farms for City Children on the positive
impact their residentials have on the children who visit;
and get a school principal's perspective on the future of
educational visits.
If you’d like to feature in a future edition, please email
me at marketing@evolveadvice.co.uk, I’d love to hear
from you.
With thanks to our contributors
In the meantime, enjoy a well-deserved summer break.
All best wishes
Nikki
