At UON our aim is to bridge theeducational divide, offering underrepresented studentsfrom targeted primary and secondary schools a uniqueopportunity to engage with higher education learning.our aim at UON is to bridge theeducational divideWe offer ’widening access’ interventions across allage phases, to support schools in raising attainment,supporting aspirations and – most of all – inspirechildren to think big and be the best that they can befrom an early age.Our programmes are particularly aimed at childrenand young people from areas of disadvantage to helpovercome barriers to higher education. We know thatschool budgets are tight, so our events are free and weoffer travel bursaries to participating schools.We love working with schools to open youngpeople’s eyes to future possibilities.I’d recommend getting in touchwith universities in your areato see what they can offerfor educational visits with adifference.““A primary programme aimed at year6 students. Children participate inactivities in schools and on campus,exploring their future choices.
