PUBLIC UTILITIES
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the City’s Public Works Director, the Public Utilities
Department provides administrative and technical support to the City’s water treatment
and distribution systems as well as its wastewater treatment and collection system.
Services provided to the utilities include general administration, drafting, GIS,
engineering, design, and project management. In addition, with oversight from the Finance
Department, the Public Utilities Department also collects utility billing revenue, provides
customer service, and carries out meter reading activities for all customers.
