CITY MANAGER
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer
of the City and provides centralized direction
and leadership for the effective administration and operations of all municipal services
as directed by the City Commission. The
City Manager prepares and submits to the
Commission a balanced plan of municipal
services in adherence to the policy goals and
objectives established by the Commission.
The City Manager oversees all City utilities and
enforces all laws, ordinances, and regulations
relative to the promotion of public health and
welfare of the community. Under the direction of the City Manager, the City Clerk advertises, notices, and records all meetings of the
Commission and serves as records custodian and election coordinator. The Economic
Development Office cultivates enterprise
and opportunity in the City, and the Events &
Tourism Office provides cultural and entertainment venues which increase the City’s regional
profile.
