Capital Assets
The City’s investment in capital assets for its governmental and business-type activities as of September 30,
2020 amounts to $110,075,076 (net of accumulated depreciation). This investment in capital assets includes
land, infrastructure, construction work in progress, buildings, equipment, park facilities, and roads. The total net
increase in the City’s investment in capital assets for the current year was $3,339,770. This increase in
governmental activities related to the CRA $3,000,000 land purchase, and attributable primarily to
Infrastructure Improvements as the city expands its water and sewer systems and upgrades its lift stations.
These increases are offset by an increase in accumulated depreciation, see Note 4.
