The City received the GFOA’s Award for Distinguished Budget Presentation for its annual
financial plan for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2019 and we are awaiting the results of
the 2020-21 budget submittal. This was the fourth year, the City has received this prestigious
award. In order to qualify for the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, the City’s budget
document was judged proficient in several categories including policy documentation, financial
planning, organization, and as communication medium. We expect to continue to achieve this
distinction.
The preparation of this report would not have been possible without the efficient and dedicated
services of the entire staff in Finance. We would like to express our appreciation to all members
of the department who assisted and contributed to the preparation of this report. We also thank
the Mayor and the Commissioners for your support in maintaining the highest standards of
professionalism in the management of the City’s finances.
