This chapterdraws across the research findings to providethe researchers perspective on Nigeria’s digitalIA ambitions. The chapter moves on to discussbarriers that currently act to restrict this ambition.The final sections review potential opportunitiesfor progressing the uptake of digital EIA across twokey areas of Nigerian EIA:- Federal Ministry of Environment –Environmental Assessment Department- Deploying and Supporting the Growth of DigitalEIA in Wider EIA Practice.3.1 | Characterizing Nigeria’s Digital EIAAmbitionsBased on the engagement undertaken acrossthe research it has been possible to outlineelements of ambition related to Digital EIA thatappears to exist across key parties in Nigeria’sEIA system. The draft ambitions set out beloware intended to provide a potential basis forfuture discussion – rather than representingany agreed view of any of the parties involvedin the delivery of Nigerian EIA.
