ABOUT BREAKFAST CLUB OF CANADA
1990
The
Club’s
History
1994 The very first breakfast
club opened its doors at LionelGroulx Elementary School in
Longueil, Quebec. It had such
a positive effect on students’
academic achievement that soon
other schools came knocking at
the Club’s door.
1999
The Quebec Breakfast Club
(Club des Petits Déjeuners
du Québec) grew to reach 50
schools across the province.
2000 The Quebec Breakfast
2006
Breakfast Clubs of
Canada was created to support
the development of breakfast
clubs across the country.
2000
Club introduced JeunEstime,
a program designed to boost
children’s self-esteem through
workshops and camps.
2005 The Club earned the
prestigious endorsement of
the United Nations World
Food Programme.
2007 In partnership with
the Government of Quebec,
a study was conducted
confirming the positive
impact of the Club,
specifically on children’s
social behavior, their attention
span and energy levels.
2012
2010
Breakfast Clubs of
Canada and Club des Petits
Déjeuners du Québec officially
merge to form the leading
national organization in
student nutrition in Canada.
2014 Thanks to a growing
number of partners from
both the private and public
sectors, the Club supports
over 1,300 schools serving
over 24 million breakfasts
annually across the
country.

the Club has

dream. We
