CULLOMPTON
The town has much to offer all ages of
visitors including a thrice weekly market,
a popular museum and plenty of cosy
independent shops.
Cullompton has some beautiful
architecture, the finest building in the
town is the 15th century St. Andrew’s
Church with a 120-foot sandstone
tower that dominates the landscape
for miles around. Known for its Farmers
Market, held every second Saturday of the
month, the town offers the opportunity to
try some delicious local produce from the
surrounding area.
The beautiful market town of Axminster is
also close by. Sat on the River Axe within
the East Devon AONB it is filled with
traditional charm. The town also plays host
to the annual Axe Vale Show every June.
Nearby is the stunning thatched chocolate
box village of Bickleigh, with a railway
museum, gardens, a 14th century bridge,
a working 18th century watermill and a
castle which dates back to 600 AD.
