The English Riviera, also known as
Torbay, is famous for its mild climate and
comprises of three pretty towns; Torquay
with its vibrant harbourside, varied
shopping area and buzzing nightlife,
Paignton with its numerous beaches,
pier and amusements which are popular
among families and Brixham, a traditional
fishing port with great seafood eateries
and a picturesque harbour.
All three coastal resorts have plenty
of recognised attractions and activities
that everyone will enjoy as well as a
selection of good quality bars, restaurants
and shops.
DARTMOUTH
Resting on the banks of the River Dart sits
the idyllic harbourside town of Dartmouth.
The story of Dartmouth’s history can be
found dotted around the town, including
the 600-year-old castle standing guard
at the mouth of the river, with a heritage
trail which leads you around the historic
streets. Dartmouth is home to a wide range
of cafés, pubs and restaurants all serving
up local delights and there are plenty of
independent shops and galleries for you to
peruse throughout the day.

Torquay Harbour
The beaches along this stretch of
coastline offer something for everyone,
with vast sandy expanses to hidden coves
and lots more in between.
The town has a packed calendar of events,
most notably The Port of Dartmouth Royal
Regatta, as well as a popular music festival
and renowned food festival. Charming
historic streets, scenic river location, bustling
atmosphere and surrounded by South Devon
countryside, it’s one of the most popular
tourist destinations in the county.
