KINGSBRIDGE
6
Kingsbridge is a bustling market town
at the heart of the South Hams, within
the South Devon Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty.
You will find a wide selection of familyrun businesses and a whole host of
intriguing antique shops, art galleries
and gift shops. Complementing that
are cafés and pubs serving ales and
gins produced by local breweries and
distilleries. Surrounded by stunning
countryside, the quay overlooks the
estuary and in the summer, visitors and
locals all take to the water on their
sailing boats and paddleboards.
Gently ease down the River Dart on the
boat to Dartmouth, hire a kayak, or follow
the footpaths through riverside meadows
to Sharpham and Dartington. Keep your
eyes peeled for wildlife including herons
and seals. Rated by The Daily Telegraph
as one of ‘Britain’s 15 Best High Streets’
in November 2022, you can also savour
South Devon’s finest food in Totnes as
local cafés and restaurants make full use
of the bountiful harvest of fresh, local,
seasonally available food.
The town’s central location near the
South Devon coast makes the popular
beaches of Bantham and Slapton easily
reachable for a great beach day out.
Don’t miss the vibrant weekly market on
Fridays and Saturdays, all year round.
