DELICIOUS DELIGHTS
EVENTS & FESTIVALS
The South West boasts some of the best
food and drink so if you’re looking for a
foodie break, South Devon could be the
place for you. Many restaurants, cafés,
pubs and inns across the region are proud
to serve up locally produced goods.
With food and drink such a big part of
Devon life, it’s no surprise that there are
plenty of events throughout the year that
celebrate the wonderful array of produce!
Whether it be a food festival, real ale gala
or a local farmers market – there’s plenty
of ways to celebrate the delightful cuisine
in the region.
LOCAL PRODUCE
Locally caughtseafood
A Devonshire Cream Tea is essential
when you visit; rich clotted cream,
homemade jam and a steaming pot of
tea. Just remember though, cream first
is the correct way!
Fresh local produce
Vineyards, distilleries and breweries are
present across the region and provide
some delectable drinks for you to try
on your trip – you can even go for a tour
at some of them and find out just how
these popular tipples are made.
Food markets
Crab, cream teas, fudge, wine and ales
are just a few things that the area is
known for. Freshly caught seafood is
always a hit, just head to a harbourside
resort and you may even be able to
watch the fishermen unload their catch.
