OLDWAY GARDENS
Beautiful grade ll heritage gardens in Paignton. The 17 acre garden forms
the grounds of Oldway Mansion (not open to the public) which was built
in 1873 for the founder of the Singer sewing machine company,
and then remodelled, along with the gardens, in 1897, in the style of
a mini Versailles.
Free entry and parking. Cafe, plant stall, tea hut (limited hours).

POTENT PLANTS GARDEN - TORRE ABBEY
Torre Abbey Gardens celebrates the Queen of Crime. You will be intrigued
by the beautiful but sinister plants on show. Interpret the plants and clues
in the outside beds and solve the mystery of the missing Agatha Christie
story titles. Discover a world of poisons, antidotes and remedies in the
serene setting of the Abbey grounds.

PRIMLEY WOODS AND PARK
Less than a mile from Paignton town centre, this park with meadow and
woodland is sheltered from the town. A wall protects it from the main road,
and there is an entrance on Totnes Road. The woodland walk consists of
a moderate slope, and is ideal for dog walking.
Cared for by the Wild Planet Trust who own the nearby Paignton Zoo.

PRINCESS GARDENS TORQUAY
A wander along Torquay’s palm tree-lined promenade will take
you alongside Torquay Marina and through the pretty waterside
Princess Gardens.
With well-manicured flowerbeds, lawns and an ornate water fountain,
the area is a great favourite, offering wonderful views of the sea
and harbour.
