HOLLICOMBE BEACH PAIGNTON
Quiet and sheltered beach, set below high sandstone cliffs. Rock pools at
low tide. Hollicombe Park is just above the beach and Preston shops and
cafes are nearby.
On the main coast road between Paignton and Torquay.
Type: sandy with rocks and cliff.
Access: limited - disabled access to beach via a slipway.

LIVERMEAD BEACH TORQUAY
A stretch of red sand to the south of Corbyn head and off the main
seafront road between Torquay and Preston. At high tide the beach
is completely covered by the sea. The beach has a designated
water-skiing area and is largely used by water-sports enthusiasts
during the summer months.
Type: red sand.
Access: difficult - via steps from the pavement.

MAIDENCOMBE BEACH
A small beach surrounded by red sandstone cliffs, a few miles north of
Babbacombe. There is good access to the coastal paths giving excellent
views of the rugged coastline. Rockpools at low tide.
Seasonal toilets and cafe.
Type: sandy, rocky with cliffs.
Access: difficult, via a narrow path and steep steps.

MEADFOOT BEACH TORQUAY
A mile from Torquay harbour and in a stunning location, with views to
Thatcher Rock and across the bay to Brixham. A popular spot for diving,
fishing and low tide rock-pooling. Cafe, toilets.
Type: rocky with sand and shingle. Access: limited - access from the road
via a slope to the promenade. Slipway to the beach.
