AGATHA CHRISTIE MILE
Pick up a free map trail and start your self-guided walk from the Visitor
Information Centre on Torquay harbour. The world’s greatest crime writer
was born in Torquay and this route takes in seven special Agatha Christie
plaques, together with other places that were important in the author’s
life and works.
It is a picturesque and relatively accessible way of exploring the seafront
area of Torquay.

BABBACOMBE CLIFF RAILWAY
Shuttling visitors up and down the cliffside to Oddicombe beach since
1926, the funicular railway offers a fun, easy and great value way to visit
the beach from the clifftop seafront of Babbacombe Downs.
The Cliff Railway has a visitor centre on Oddicombe beach, and the
beach has a café/restaurant, shop and facilities (see separate listing).
