An Interview with Alex
Tom: Excuse me. Do any of you know a kid named Alex?
Kid:
Sure! That’s Alex over there. He’s the one holding the football.
Tom: Hi! Are you Alex?
Alex: Yes, I am Alex. What’s your name?
Tom: My name is Tom. I’m trying to find out who stole your bike. Can I ask you a few questions?
Alex: No problem. What do you want to know?
Tom: First, I need your address. Where do you live?
Alex: I live here in Lakeview. My address is 22 Circle street.
Tom: And how old are you?
Alex: I’m twelve and a half.
Tom: When do you come to the gym?
Alex: I come every Wednesday for soccer practice.
Tom: OK, so can you tell me about your bike?
Alex: It’s new. I got it for my birthday. It’s a green racing bike.
Tom: Is there anything special about your bicycle?
Alex: Um, sure! It has a really cool horn that makes funny sounds.
Tom: Cool! What kind of sounds?
Alex: Um…one sound is like people clapping. And another one like a dog barking. It has five different
animal sounds!
Tom: OK, thanks, Alex. Don’t worry. We will catch the thief!
Alex: Thanks, Tom. I really miss my bike!
