about? (Have students guess.)

Recap some of what they’ve been doing in the book.
Ask:
What was the main topic in Unit 5? (bullying)
Who were the characters? (Maya, Josh, Ann, Miss Santos, etc.)
Who were the people we already knew there? (Kate, Tom, Jack and Amy)
What other adventures have Kate and Tom had in our book? (Accept all correct answers,
relating to entire book. Encourage them to discuss the adventures they enjoyed the most.)
This time we have a new adventure. Who do you think is going to be involved? (Tom and
Kate for sure, lots of other characters too)
Ask and say:
Who do we already know? (Tom, Kate, Robert)
What have Tom, Kate and Robert been doing
Curriculum:
in the previous units? (Make sure the
