Section 4 – Clean up your neighborhood!

Do you think you and your friends would want to do something like this in your
neighborhood?
Section 5 –Pull out the plug!
At home tonight, check how many things are plugged in.
Ask your parents if it’s OK to unplug some of them.
Bring in the number of things you have plugged in at home for our next lesson.

4. Let’s Do It! (page 154)

P: students will produce a short piece
Have the students get into small groups of four.

Each group chooses one of the sections from pages
152 and 153 or their own idea for being green and
saving the environment.
If they are choosing their own idea, they should consult with you to get your approval.
They make their own poster for the same issue and write a message on it.
They can use the passage to help them write, but it MUST be different from the message in the
book.
Each team presents their poster and they have to explain why they chose that issue.
It’s a good idea to use these posters to decorate the English corner.
