Listening Script – Mystery Solutions - Track 2
My name is Robert Smith. I am a reporter. It’s Friday at 1:45 in the afternoon. I’m
here in Greenville in front of the old swimming pool. Let me explain what’s
happening: A team of detectives and the police are going to catch a thief!
Oh, there is a problem. The police can’t open the gate. Someone locked it from the
inside! Wait a minute…Wow! A boy with Robo-Bouncers is jumping up and climbing
over the wall! He is an amazing athlete! That’s my friend Tom!
Tom is helping the police open the gate…now we are going inside. Everyone is
excited, but they are very, VERY quiet!
Oh! I see four green bikes! Tom’s sister, Kate, is ringing one of the bike bells. It has a
funny sound, like a dog barking!!
Wait, a policeman is walking this way. He’s got Al from the Greenville Bike Shop!
He is putting Al in the police car. He is taking Al to the police station.
There is my friend Jack, the detective. He and another policeman are holding Bill,
who works in the library. Wait! They are holding another man, too—I don't believe
it! This man looks exactly like Bill! It’s Bill’s twin brother!? Bill has a twin brother!
They look exactly the same, but Bill’s twin brother has a scar on his arm! These twins
are the thieves!
