Activity 2
• Draw a small ‘h’ on the Letter House poster.
• Ask students where small ‘h’ lives. (on the top floor and in the middle of the
house)
• Draw a big ‘H’ on the Letter House poster.
• Ask where big ‘H’ lives. (on the top floor and in the middle of the house)
• Have students write rows of ‘Hh’s. As students write each letter they can say the
sound /h/.
Activity 3
• Trace over the dots to make students hop on their pogo sticks.
Activity 4
• Look at the pictures.
• Ask what each picture shows. Say the word written below each picture. (happy,
hat, hand, house)
• Have students repeat the words after you.
• Have students trace over the letters ‘h’.
• Now ask them, what other letters they know in these words.
• Have students trace the letters.
• In the word ‘hat’, ask what other letters they know.
• Students can read the word ‘hat’.
