Letter Cards
• Open the Workbook to pages 41 and 43.
• Have students carefully remove the ‘F’ and ‘f’ Letter Cards.
• Ask them what the differences are between the big ‘F’ and the small ‘f’? (They are both
tall, but big ‘F’ has all straight lines and small ‘f’ has a straight line and a hook.)
• Now tell students to take out the ‘Ee’ Letter Cards.
• Tell them to match the big and small letters i.e. ‘Ff’ and ‘Ee’.
• Say: Point to the letter ‘F’. Chant together: The letter is ‘F’. The sound is /f/. The word
is ‘four’, the word is ‘father’.
• Have students do the appropriate actions (four fingers).
• Say: Raise the big ‘F’ card. Students must raise the correct card.
• Say: Raise the small ‘f’ card. Students must raise the correct card.
• Repeat with big ‘E’ and small ‘e’.
ABC Poster, Mural and Song
• Have a student point to the letters ‘F/f’ on the poster.
• Tell students to chant and do the appropriate actions: The letter is ‘F’. The sound is /f/.
The word is ‘four’, the word is ‘father’.
• Hold up the mural piece for ‘Ff’.
• Ask where they think the letters ‘Ff’ go. (after the letters ‘Ee’)
• Hang up the mural piece.
• Sing the ABC Song (track 7). Do the actions for the letters they have learned.

Open the Workbook to page 30.
Activity 1
• Have students take out their plasticine. Have them roll small logs to cover the ‘F's at
the top of the page.
• Have students color the letters at the top of the page, following the direction of the
arrows.
Activity 2
• Draw a small ‘f’ on the Letter House poster.
• Ask students where small ‘f’ lives? (on the top floor and in the middle of the house)
• Draw a big ‘F’ on the Letter House poster. Ask where big ‘F’ lives. (on the top floor and
in the middle of the house)
• Have students write rows of ‘Ff’s. As students draw each letter they can chant the
sound /f/ and the words ‘four’ and ‘father’.
Activity 3
• Trace over the hidden letter ‘f’s in the pictures with a colored marker.
