Hang up the Letter House poster and the ABC poster in a place where all students can
see them and where they can be used for all of the English lessons.
Find a place in the classroom where you have enough space to put up all 26 pieces
of the ABC mural. The letters will be hung in alphabetical order. If there is not enough
room to hang the mural vertically on the wall, it may be hung horizontally around the
classroom.
Prepare Name Cards for students whose names begin with ‘L’. These Name Cards
can be attached to their desks after the lesson.
Make sure that students have plasticine and/or pipe cleaners to form the letters.
Note: Students should keep the plasticine and pipe cleaners together with their
Workbooks and bring them to class for each lesson.
Lesson Procedure
ABC Song (track 7)
• Explain to students that they will learn the letters of the English alphabet. Point
to the poster and tell them that they will learn the letters one at a time.
• Play the song.
