Game
• Telephone Game (game #29)
- Draw a big telephone on the board and in the drawing, write the telephone
numbers of five pupils.
- Say: Hello, is this 533-6117?
- The pupil whose telephone number it is answers: Yes, it is.
- Say: My name is ___ . What's your name? How are you? How do you
feel?
- The pupil responds to each question you ask.
- Repeat with all the telephone numbers on the board.

Guess the Letter
- Hold the letter flashcards in your hand in a pile with the letters facing you.
- Slowly lift up a card so pupils can see only part of the letter.
- As the letter is slowly revealed, pupils try to guess what it is.
- The first pupil to guess correctly wins.
- Re-shuffle the flashcards and give the pile to the winner, who now slowly
reveals another card to the class.
- Continue this procedure several times.

Categorizing Game (game #40)
- Draw 6 columns on the board. On the top of each column put one of these
letter flashcards: P, O, S, CH, M, C.
- Number the columns.
- Hold up a flashcard of a food item and ask pupils: What is this? What letter
does it begin with?
- Stick the picture under the correct letter column.
