I. Introductions and Greetings

Do the special greeting with gestures: How are you today? Fine/So-so/Cool,
thank you.
Have Max ask a pupil: How do you feel today? The pupil responds with
a facial expression. Do this as a Chain Drill: the first pupil turns to another
pupil and asks the same question, the second pupil responds and turns to
another pupil, etc.

"ABC" (song #1.42)
- Sing the song with the class.
- Pupils stand up as they hear the first letter of their name.
- Ask volunteers to approach the ABC strip and point out the letters of their
name. The class says the letters together and shouts out the name (for
example: D,a ,v ,i ,d, David).
• Tell pupils: Open the Practice Pages to page 63.
- Ex. 38 - Complete the exercise according to instructions.

Guessing Game (game #31)
- Tell pupils: I am thinking of something in the classroom. Pupils ask
questions: Is it on the desk? Is it under the table?
- The pupil who guesses correctly is the next player. S/He whispers a word
to you and says: I'm thinking of an animal or I'm thinking of the
Goldilocks story, etc. and asks the class to guess what it is. Encourage
pupils to think about all the topics and stories learned.
- Tell pupils: I am thinking of something in the classroom that begins
with the letter w, /w/.
- Pupils ask questions and try to guess what it is.
- The pupil who guesses correctly is the next player and thinks of something
in the classroom.
- Continue this procedure, giving several pupils a chance to lead the game.
