Preparing for Teacher-Pupil Conferences
●
- After the lesson, read over pupils' self assessments. Now write your
assessment of their performance in each area, under the column "My
Teacher's Assessment." Write your comments in L1, where appropriate. Be
encouraging and constructive.
- This page will serve as a basis for discussion during the pupil≠teacher
conference, which you will be having with each pupil within the next two
weeks. You may call pupils up individually while others are working in their
Activity Books.
- During the conference, discuss with the pupil the things s/he does well and
how s/he can improve.
- Compliment the pupil for doing the difficult task of self assessment. Explain
how assessment helps them become better learners.
