• Different sounds of the letter C
- Review the words hard and soft.
- Teach pupils that the letter ‘C’ can make two sounds: The hard /k/ sound or
the soft /s/ sound (depending on which letters follow the letter ‘C’).
- Put the cake flashcard on the board. Point to the ceiling and write the word
ceiling on the board.
- Say the words cake and ceiling. Emphasize the soft and hard sounds that the
letter ‘C’ makes.
- Add hard and soft ‘C’ pictures and words to the picture dictionary.

- Ex. 47 - Complete the exercise according to instructions.
