I. Introductions and Greetings
Song

"Good Morning Dear Pupils" (song #1.6)

Pass a ball and ask about days of the week.

"Everybody Loves Saturday Night" (song #2.10)
●
"Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" (song #2.8)
●
Sing "The Fuzzy Caterpillar" (song #2.26) with gestures. Have pupils stand up
and sing. At the end of the song, pupils wave their arms and pretend to fly like
butterflies.
Pupil to Pupil

Model the following dialogue about fruit with a few pupils: What fruits do
you like? I like (apples).
- Ask pupils, in pairs, to practice the dialogue.
Game
ABC Chain Game
●
- Say: A, I like apples.
- Ask a pupil to say B, I like _____ (bananas).
- Continue calling on different pupils until all the learned letters have been
used.
- Help pupils to remember names of food and categories of food. Pupils may
also help each other.
