LESSON PROCEDURE
I. Introductions and Greetings
Song

"How Do You Do Everybody?" (song #1.14)
- Pass a ball and ask chain questions.

"ABC" (song #1.42)
- Pause at letters previously learned and have pupils fill in the missing letter
in the song.
Game
●
Toss the Cube ABC Game
- Say A and toss the cube or beanbag to a pupil. S/He says B.
- That pupil throws the cube to another pupil who catches it and says C.
- Continue playing at a quick pace until you finish the alphabet.
- Encourage pupils to help each other.

Where Is It? (game #36)
- A pupil hides a food card in the classroom while pupils close their eyes.
- The class asks questions to find the item: Is it under the table? etc.
- A pupil hides a food card behind his/her back.
- The other pupils guess what it is by asking about the letter sounds: Does it
begin with a /p/ sound? Does it have a /ch/ sound?
