Have each pupil turn to his/her neighbor and ask and answer three greeting
questions.
Ask questions about the days of the week: What day is today ..... was
yesterday ..... is tomorrow?
- Review the days of the week.

- Pupils stand when they sing the first letter of their name.
- Say the ABC aloud. Stop every few letters so that pupils can shout out the
next letter.

ABC Emotion Cube Throw (game #53)
- Scatter the letter cards of previously learned letters on the floor.
- Have pupils take turns throwing the emotion cube. They must say the name
of the letter that the emotion cube lands on and two words that begin with
that letter.
- This can also be done as a group competition.

Cross the River (game #37)
- Use flashcards of the farmer and of animals pupils have learned.
- Draw a river on the board and stick the flashcards across the river.
- Tell pupils that each flashcard is a rock they must walk on to cross the river.
Pupils must say the name of each rock as they cross. Encourage pupils to
say a complete sentence: This is the farmer. If a pupil can not answer,
s/he falls into the river and another pupil comes up to cross the river.
- After two pupils have played, change the order of the flashcards.
- This may be played as a competition between two or more groups.
