- Scatter the letter cards far apart on the floor so that pupils can run without
hurting themselves. Call out a letter and have two pupils run and find the
letter.
- After a few times, change the activity: Call out a word and two pupils run
and find the letter of the beginning sound of the word.

- Play the game using phrases such as a long thin nose or sentences such as
