Discuss the cover.
- Ask pupils: What do you see?
- Ask them: What is the gorilla doing with his hands? Elicit: He is
touching his head. He is touching his toe.
- Ask pupils to describe the gorilla. (He has a red mouth, he has long arms,
big feet, a big body, etc.).
- Encourage pupils to use colors, numbers, big and small in their descriptions.
- Ask pupils where gorillas live. Elicit: jungle, zoo.
