Opposites
- Review opposites by saying the words and using exaggerated gestures to
illustrate: big/small, long/short, thin/fat, happy/sad, sit/stand,
hot/cold.
- Gesture one word and have pupils say the word. Then gesture its opposite
and have pupils guess the word.
- Have pairs of pupils come to the front of the class, one at a time, and
gesture opposites.
- Place the flashcards of the animals on the board. Have the pupils say the
words.
- Ask: How many syllables does the word (camel) have?
- Have the pupils say the number of syllables in each word and show the
number with their fingers.
- Continue until you reviewed all the words on the board.

- After exercising and singing the Body Song, give out letter cards of all
previously learned letters to pupils. Touch a part of your body or face whose
beginning sound has been learned and have the class say the word (touch
your mouth and pupils say mouth). Then, the pupil holding the M card
holds up the card.
