Say: Stand up if your birthday is in January! Continue with the next February, and then the next
month, until all the pupils are standing.
Say: Sit down if your birthday is in&! Say all the months until all the pupils are sitting.
Say the months in random order to make the activity more challenging.

Before reading, ask pupils to scan the text and find the months of the year. Remind pupils that the
months are always written with a capital letter.

Read the poem together with the pupils to find out which month is shorter than the rest.

After reading, ask pupils which month is shorter (Elicit: February, it has 28 days (or 29 days).)
