Listening Script Unit 4 Page 159 #3
Welcome to Alaska, USA! Alaska is a very big place.
There are a lot of things for visitors to do here. Let9s go!
Day #1: Today is our first day in Alaska. Today we are seeing Alaska by boat. Watch how the boat
goes through the ice in the water. You should have your camera ready because you can see a lot of
interesting animals! Alaska is famous for its nature.
Day #2: Welcome to our second day in Alaska. Today we are seeing Alaska by airplane. We are now
flying high above the mountains. Look at the mountains and rivers below us. Are you ready to come
down from the air? This is a special airplane – it can drive on the water, too!
Day #3: Good morning. Today is our third day and last day in Alaska. It is spring here, but it is still
cold outside. Today, we are not staying in a hotel. We are camping outside! For dinner this evening,
we can teach you how to catch fish in the river with your hands!
This is the end of our trip. Did you enjoy your time in Alaska?
•
After listening, ask pupils to describe each of the locations in the photos of Alaska, and what the
visitors did in each place. Elicit what pupils learned from the listening text.
