1. My friends and I are in a band! Our band is called The Pine River Kids Band. We practice
every week at the art center. I play in the band, and I also sing.
2. I play the guitar. I go to music lessons every week and practice my guitar a lot. When I
started, it was difficult to play, but now it is easy and fun! I love to play with the band!
3. I am in The Pine River Kids Band, too. I do not sing in the band, but I love to play music.
I also write songs for the band.
4. I am a singer in the band. I want our band to be famous! One day you will hear me sing
on the radio. Our music will be famous around the word!

Ask pupils to identify the different forms of the verb in the sentences (Elicit: have/has).
Remind pupils that they have learned these words before and elicit their meaning.
Tell pupils that they will learn that the verb "to have" has two forms in English (Use L1 if needed).
Introduce the verb to have (have/has).
