Have pupils find the negative sentence. Then, have pupils reach and match the sentences to the
correct character in the picture.

Use the text to practice reading for fluency. Have pupils read the text again aloud. Have pupils echo
and imitate your reading to help them and assess them for fluency skills. Repeat the reading practice
